More details regarding the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite have now surfaced ahead of the game’s release. In particular, the latest Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite trailer details the game’s story. As some may know, the anticipated title features both Marvel and Capcom characters going against some noteworthy foes. This includes the likes of Grandmaster Meio, Jedah Dohma, Venom, and Ultron Sigma, among others.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite Trailer: A Look Into the Game’s Story Mode
As mentioned, the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite trailer sees some of fans’ favorite Marvel and Capcom characters banding together in order to defeat the aforementioned villains. The Avengers Tower also shows up, as well as Capcom’s beloved Mega Man and Morrigan. Additionally, it even features an appearance by Marvel’s baddie, Thanos.
Game Modes and Features
On top of the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite trailer, details regarding the game’s several modes — both online and offline — have emerged as well. Besides Story Mode, offline gameplay also features an Arcade Mode, Mission Mode, Training Mode, and a Versus Mode. Notably, the Versus Mode includes an option to locally go up against another player or face off against the game’s AI.
Offline Mode also contains the game’s Collection. Here, players can access several collectibles. This includes cut scenes, information on characters and stages, concept artwork, and even audio tracks.
Meanwhile, online gameplay features modes such as Ranked Match and Casual Match. This involves battling other players online to improve on rankings for Ranked, and to simply go up against players online without the involvement of rankings for Casual. Additionally, online gameplay also includes Beginners League. As per reports, this is a special league that involves battles for players at Rank 14 or lower.
Online Mode also adds in Lobby. This allows fans to create a lobby in which “up to eight players can engage in simultaneous player-vs-player matches.” Furthermore, Online Mode is where players can access Rankings, which shows the very rankings of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite players around the world.
Ghost Rider in Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
As previously reported, Marvel’s Ghost Rider joins in on the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite festivities as the game’s latest fighter addition. His reveal was done in the same fashion as Dormammu and Firebrand’s: with the use of a Marvel variant cover. It’s worth noting, however, that gameplay footage showing off Ghost Rider’s moves has yet to surface. The game’s latest story trailer simply comes as a confirmation of his addition to the roster of fighters.
