Kojima Production’s anticipated first game, Death Stranding, is coming along really well that CEO/founder Hideo Kojima can finally have a good night of sleep. On Twitter, the video game creator gave a much-needed update about the current state of his new game.
Everything Is In Order
Death Stranding has already developed a following even before the game has entered the market. For one, its founder, Kojima, is a legendary video game creator whose genius gave birth to the Metal Gear. His new project also involved an A-list cast that includes Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead, Mad Mikkelsen of Hanibal and The Shape of Water director Guillermo del Toro.
However, Kojima and crew did not bring the anticipated game to this year’s E3. He cited that the company was hard at work with production.
Last week, he gave a positive update on the development of Death Stranding. On Twitter, he announced: “Today I was able to see the good result of testing DS. I think I will have a good sleep tonight.”

Kojima also added that script writing is underway. In fact, from the looks of it, Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk might influence the video game creator.

Death Stranding Graphics Demo
Nobody knows what the upcoming game is actually about, but Kojima Productions made another step forward this week. At the Siggraph 2017 conference, the company revealed the game’s first graphics demo.
Death Stranding, according to IGN, is being built on Guerilla Games Decima Engine, the same engine used by Horizon: Zero Dawn. The clip did not offer much, but it promises that players will see a realistic and beautiful graphics when the game finally gets released.
One of the features highlighted during the presentation is the game’s incredible-looking fog. Kohei Ishiyama of Kojima Productions and Gillaim de Carpentier of Guerilla Games revealed that developers created their own fog system in order to create a photo-realistic fog effect that allows more flexibility with the in-game atmosphere.
Death Stranding will be an open-world action game, but Kojima promised that it will not be like anything that is available on the market right now. The game is scheduled to be released sometime before 2019.
