Capcom announced at its panel during this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, California that a few DLC outfits would be released July 25 for the characters Rashid, Laura, and Ibuki. This particular batch is inspired by athletic competitions of a different nature and retails for $4 each.
Ibuki’s costume is a volleyball uniform that comes with a sports watch and nimble trainers while Brazilian bonita Laura, who has a World Cup-shaped trophy on her stage, would get a soccer outfit. According to Capcom, “She needs to keep her knees in top shape for canceling her standing medium kick into V-Trigger, hence the knee pads.” As for Rashid, he is joining Laura on the soccer field with his studded boots and knee-high socks.
The new Street Fighter 5 DLC costumes are releasing alongside the previously revealed retro DLC outfits for Alex, Ibuki, and Juri. That batch takes inspiration from older Street Fighter games. Alex and Ibuki’s new clothing are both based on their respective looks in Street Fighter III, while Juri’s is taken from Street Fighter IV. The iconic Suzaku Castle from Street Fighter II is also being offered as a DLC stage.
Like the sports-themed costumes, the retro outfits also retail for $4 each. They are all set for release Tuesday alongside the game’s newest DLC character, Abigail, from the Final Fight series. The beefy and gargantuan as ever Mad Gear Gang lieutenant is the fourth of six downloadable characters coming in season two’s DLC for Street Fighter V.
Players can snag him, along with Akuma, Kolin, and Ed, for $29.99. The final two characters included in this season pass will be announced at a later date. You can watch the trailer for Abigail below.
