The Xbox Games With Gold August 2017 lineup is set to be revealed in a few days’ time. But we, more than likely, have a clear idea now of which games will be free for Gold subscribers next month, thanks to a promotional photo posted by Spanish Xbox site SomosXbox.
The site published an article, featuring a promo banner that displays two new XboxOne games, and two new Xbox 360 games. To keep you updated, we listed each of them below. Keep in mind though that this Xbox Games With Gold August 2017 lineup isn’t official yet, so take it with a grain of salt.
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India (Xbox One, August 1 – 31)
The second video game in the Chronicles series, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India follows Arbaaz Mir in Amritsar 1841, in the midst of a war between the East India Company and the Sikh Empire, two years after the events of the graphic novel Assassin’s Creed: Brahman. The protagonist must retrieve the Koh-i-Noor diamond, which formerly belongs to the Assassin Brotherhood from a newly arrived Master Templar. While doing so, he must also protect his lover princess Pyara Kaur and his Mentor Hamid.
Firewatch (Xbox One, August 16 – September 15)
Firewatch is a single-player, first-person video game where you, as a fire lookout named Henry, explore the Wyoming wilderness. Perched high atop a mountain, your job is to look for smoke and keep the wilderness safe. But something draws you out of your lookout tower and into the world to uncover clues about mysterious occurrences in the vicinity. Your only human connection is with a handheld radio, which you’ll use to communicate with your supervisor, Delilah.
Condemned: Criminal Origins (Xbox 360, August 1 – 15)
This survival horror game produced by Monolith Studios and published by SEGA features melee combat and puzzle solving which includes looking for fingerprints and gathering evidence. It follows SCU investigator Ethan Thomas as he hunts for a serial killer in the fictional town of Metro while using his instincts and technology as well as fighting the violent inhabitants of the neighborhood.
Forza Horizon 2 (Xbox 360, August 16 – September 15)
Forza Horizon 2 takes you to a fictional racing competition set within Southern France and Northern Italy. You will explore the region in more than 200 of the world’s greatest cars, taking part in races and special events in order to advance through the game.
