Arcade style basketball game NBA Playgrounds is getting a new update today, and the patch is all about new content yet again. Once players download the update, they’ll be getting their hands on quite a few new pieces of content. Here’s everything new in the NBA Playgrounds update.
The trailer for the NBA Playgrounds hot update starts of by revealing a total of 33 new characters to the game. This means players will have access to an even bigger roster once the NBA Playgrounds update has been downloaded already. Like past roster expansions, this new one adds both current NBA stars and Hall of Famers. Some of the new players include Tyson Chandler, Jerry Lucas and Bob Pettit.
New Rebound System
Another neat addition to the game is one that would help those who just can’t seem to get a hang of rebounds in the game. The new rebound system gives players a look at where the ball will drop. Once the ball misses the hoop and bounces off the rim, a small circular indicator will appear in the court to reveal where it could drop down.
The update will also add a three-point competition to NBA Playgrounds. This isn’t a simple three point contest though as two players will be on the court at the same time to see who bags the most shots in a round.
After the long wait, it looks like friend invitations are finally coming to the game. This would make playing with friends a whole lot easier and it adds a whole new depth to matchmaking.
No release date has been set for the next NBA Playground update yet. What we do know for now is that the update will arrive on the PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions of the game.
