Gionee M2017 with Quad HD Display, 6 GB RAM, SD 653, Dual Camera 7,000 mAh Battery Goes Official

Gionee has unveiled its superior smartphone in China. It looks like Gionee M2017 will be fast-selling device as it boasts of attractive features.

Gionee’s website accepts pre-orders from the new device. However, it marked M2017 as ‘fully booked,’ NDTV reports. Surprisingly, the device carries a high base price of CNY 6,999 ($1,007). The base model has a 128GB storage.

Moreover, a higher-end version with an Italian custom alligator back costs CNY 16,999 ($2,446).

Gionee M2017 comes with two 3500mAh or a total capacity of 7000mAh. The batteries have support for Quick Charge 3.0. It also boasts of 6GB RAM and dual rear cameras, a 12MP and a 13MP. For selfies, the Gionee M2017 sports an 8MP front camera.

The device has a 5.7-inch Amoled QHD display with curved edges, sapphire glass, and a pixel density of 518 ppi. It also sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 with four Cortex A72 cores and four Cortex A53 cores.

Gionee M2017 Boasts of 25.89-hour Video Playback Time

Gionee gives the buyer a choice of 128GB storage or 256GB for storage. However, the batteries contributed to the device’s 230-gram weight. The device’s dimensions are 155.2 x 77.6 x 10.65 mm.

Gionee’s premium smartphone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Amigo 3.5 UI on top. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the top.

Furthermore, Gionee claims the M2017 can give a video playback time of up to 25.89 hours. It also offers a standby time of 915.42 hours.

However, the device does not have a micro-SD card slot. Also, the 3.5mm headphone jack is missing.

Gionee has not given any details on when the device would be available outside China. The phone is available in two color variants of black and gold.

Gionee ranks among the world’s top 10 mobile manufacturer. It also focuses on research and development. It has set up R&D centers in Shenzhen, Beijing and New Delhi.

The company’s production capacity will reach 80 million each year upon Gionee Industrial Park’s completion. It exports a total of 1-million phones per month.
