Fans of The Vampire Diaries season 8 are itching to know when will Nina Dobrev return? The show’s executive producer remains tight-lipped.
Julie Plec, the show’s executive producer, had hinted that Nina will return; but not as the character that fans expect. Vampire Diaries season 8 might see the return of Katherine, not Elena, in the season finale.
“I will confirm nothing. But the visual similarities are not accidental,” Plec said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Plec notes that in episode 4, a black evil force sucked Georgie’s soul. The same force also sucked in Elena’s soul.
She shares that key points of season 8 will focus on how the characters will fit in this world.
Are these characters doomed? Is there a chance for redemption? Are the characters who have been heroes already marked?
“Can you earn your way back out of a one-way ticket to Hell,” Plec asks.
Speculations talk about Nina making her reappearance on the season finale’s episode 12.
Why episode 12? Rumors say that Katherine will appear as soon as Stefan decides to finish off Cybil.
No matter which character The Vampire Diaries Season 8 will resurrect, fans are excited over news of Nina’s return.
The Vampire Diaries Season 8: Stefan and Caroline Happy With Relationship
Stefan and Caroline will have happy moments in Episode 6 entitled “Detoured On Some Random Backwoods Path To Hell.”
According to Plec, Stefan and Caroline have been growing as a team. The two’s relationship has ups and downs. “They’ve had a lot of hurdles preventing them from being happy,” Plec notes.
She explains that the show needs some happiness in the otherwise bleak scenario.
She stressed the importance of celebrating a relationship. “We can’t celebrate Damon and Elena right now. Elena’s in a coffin,” Plec notes.
“It was fun to be able to give Stefan and Caroline a sense of a happy ending to come; even if it doesn’t get that far. It’s going to be a fun road to travel” she adds.
The Vampire Diaries season 8 will have 16 episodes. It will finally close its curtains on March 10, 2017, only on CW.
