Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC Releasing Soon, Details Leaked

The first DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is well on its way. But what does this first batch of content add to the game? Well the official details for the DLC were revealed in a recent edition of V-Jump Magazine.

Of course V-Jump Magazine is in Japanese, but the kind folks over at DB-Z.com provided scans and translated the information.

But the translation is in French, thankfully Attack of the Fanboy translated the information again into English. Okay, now we can find out what’s coming.

So what are the details of the upcoming DLC? First and foremost, Bandai Namco is adding two new characters to the game — or rather two new forms of characters. Given how the Dragon Ball franchise has characters with several distinct forms, this isn’t too much of a surprise.

Anyway, arriving in the first batch of DLC are Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken Goku as well as a version of Hit simply labeled as “new ultimate attack.”

In addition to the new versions of Hit and Goku, the DLC will also include five new mentors.

Mentors, for those unfamiliar with the game, are NPCs that provide the player quests. And should the player complete the quest, the Mentor will award them with a new skill to use in combat.

So the upcoming DLC will add the following mentors:

  • Future Gohan
  • Bardock
  • Cooler
  • Android 16
  • Whis

Allowing the player to learn a variety of new moves to use.

Speaking of player customization, the DLC will also feature six new costumes and accessories as well as 24 new techniques.

Finally, there seems to be an incoming event involving the Frieza Army and an invasion which will reward the player some new outfits as well.

Those were all the details in the V-Jump article. Odds are Bandai Namco will release more information as we approach the release date. But for now, hopefully this info can satiate the curiosity of those interested.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is out for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
