Marvel remains tight-lipped over the fate of Iron Man. But the finale cover of comics Civil War II shows badly damaged helmet of Iron Man lying on the ground.
Dr. Amara Perera, Stark’s romantic interest, has told Doom that Tony’s fate will be aired on national television, Techtimes reported.
“Superheroes have a knack for coming back to life or faking their death,” Perera adds. She appears to imply Stark’s death will occur at the end of Civil War II.
Downey Reprises Role In The Upcoming Avengers Features
Downey has said he is tired of putting on his costume again. So his death would not come as a surprise, according to Looper.
Downey has a contract to reprise his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in Avengers 3 Infinity War.
He remains among the top-paid actors in the 2015 Forbes list for his Iron Man role, earning $33 million. He had placed number one on the list for three consecutive years since 2012.
Marvel Still Mum on Avengers 3 and 4 Complete Cast
Marvel Studios has yet to confirm the cast of Avengers 3 Infinity War and the still untitled Avengers 4.
Directors Joe and Anthony Russo will still direct the two-part series. Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus will do the script.
The Russo brothers and the two scriptwriters have worked together on Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War.
The filming of Avengers 3 Infinity Wars will start soon. Both Avengers 3 Infinity Wars and the untitled Avengers 4 will be filmed back to back.
Marvel Studios announced the release of Avengers: Infinity Wars on May 4, 2014. Avengers 4 is scheduled for release on May 3, 2019.
