Huawei Mate 9 Release Date, Specs & Price: Leaked Photos Show Dual Camera & 5.9-inch Flat Screen

The Huawei Mate 9 release date is set to be announced this month – specifically this Thursday, November 3. But leaked photos are already showing some of the specs the new phone might have.

Huawei Mate 9 Release Date

The leaked images seem to coincide with previously released information. The images present a big metal smart phone with a dual camera set-up that comes with a dual-LED flash and an autofocus module.

Likewise, the images show off the previously rumored 5.9” screen, though it appears that the display is flat and not curved. This display is said to have 1080p resolution.

With regards to the internal systems, rumors say that the phone will be powered by the Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor along with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It’s speculated to run Android 7.0 Nougat.

Teasers for the new phone also hint at them using better battery technology. Something that can charge faster and better. Allowing the battery to last much longer than others, while at the same time charging much faster.

Lastly, there are rumors that the Huawei Mate 9 will release with two versions – a standard version and a Huawei Mate 9 pro version. So far, the biggest difference between the two is in the quality of the display, with the standard version being 5.9” flat screen at 1080p (like the design seen in the leaked photos) and the pro version at 5.9” curved screen at QHD.

As for the price point, it is expected that the standard version will be in the 500 – 600USD price range while the pro version will be somewhat more expensive due to the higher quality display.

The leaked images can be found here, along with some of the speculated information mentioned in this article.
