Enter the City of Karnaca

Unlike its predecessor, Dishonored 2 will not take place in the city of Dunwall. Instead, players will be travelling to Corvo’s home land of Serkonos and its capital city: Karnaca.

Set 15 years after the first game, an otherworldly usurper has seized the throne of Dunwall. Now, the player must travel to Serkonos to take back the empire.

Players will choose to play as either Corvo or a now grown up Emily for the entirety of the game. Both characters have their own unique set of skills that the player must use to traverse Serkonos’ winding streets and get past enemies alike.

The Original Assassin

Corvo returns retaining his powers from the original game, but 15 years has allowed him to improve upon them. For example, he can now perform a chain-possession to blend in with his foes and even possess dead and unconscious bodies to use as a hiding place.

Likewise, his signature Blink ability now stops time and space, allowing the player to think critically and carefully whenever using the ability. Bethesda released a video highlighting the other changes to Corvo below.

Like Father, Like Daughter

Emily on the other hand comes with a brand-new set of abilities just for her. While different, her powers can rival Corvo’s in flexibility, lethality, and most importantly, coolness factor.

Instead of Blink, she has access to an ability called Far Reach, a supernatural grappling hook. Using this ability, she can either traverse the map by pulling herself across great distances or take out unsuspecting foes by pulling them towards her.

Another one of her abilities is Domino which lets her link the fates of multiple NPCs together. Whatever happens to one will happen to all the rest, allowing her to take down several enemies with just one movement. Just like with Corvo, Bethesda released a video going into more detail into her different abilities below.

Dishonored 2 Release Date Coming Soon

Dishonored 2 launches worldwide on November 11 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. People that choose to pre-order now can play the game a full day before everyone else.

Preloading of the game is already available to Xbox One players. PlayStation 4 and PC players can begin preloading on November 8.
