With the Survivor Series just around the corner, what the better way to end October but with the fiery pits of hell? WWE Hell in a Cell 2016 is back, and it seems no one is safe.
Fans of the franchise normally frowned upon Hell in a Cell. However, with championships at stake and with rivalries in new bouts, WWE Hell in a Cell 2016 is becoming heated up as we speak.
Wrestling fans can revel in numerous matches this October 30. Fans can watch the event via traditional pay-per-view outlets. It will also be streamed lived and posted immediately afterward on the WWE Network.
But what exactly is in store for them? Here are the highlights for the monumental occasion, along with our own predictions.
Three Main Events!
It seems Raw’s single roster will be making a big bang this Sunday. According to the Bleacher Report, the brand extension will have three main events, each one more daunting than the last.
It’s a high moment for girl power this Sunday when Sasha Banks and Charlotte become the first two women to ever set foot inside the famed cell. The Sasha Banks-Charlotte rivalry goes way back in WrestleMania, and WWE Hell in a Cell 2016 will put this to a close.
However, it seems Sasha Banks will retain the championship for the next few months. She only dropped her championship at SummerSlam due to an injury but managed to regain it.
Meanwhile, Kevin Owens will try to cement his universal championship reign with a fight against Seth Rollins. However, our latter is not without a goal himself – as he wants to make a mark in wrestling history as well. This is a rematch from the Clash of Champions!
Regardless, it may seem Owens will get the victory this round. This could also potentially set a title match against Christ Jericho himself at the upcoming Survivor Series.
Lastly, Roman Reigns and Rusev’s heated rivalry will finally reach its climactic moment in the cell. Are they going to end their rivalry once and for all, or will this make room for more surprises?
Fans predict this might not be a losing moment for Reigns just yet. However, Rusev will definitely be eyeing something else after the match.
Wrestling fans will also look forward to the match between WWE Cruiserweight Champion TJ Perkins and challenger Brian Kendrick. The last episode of Monday Night Raw may mean Kendrick will leave the cell with the belt. However, only Perkins will decide to drop his championship.
In speaking of Monday Night Raw, a tag duel will commence in the cell on Sunday. Rag Team Champions the New Day will be facing Cesaro and Sheamus. However, with the New Day aiming to defeat the 478-day title reign of Demolition, it seems Cesaro and Sheamus wouldn’t hold the belt soon.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson may also see a victory against Enzo Amore and the Big Cass. Their popularity is so cemented that Enzo and Cass will do fine without a victory in the cell for a while.
According to IBTimes, a Bayley-Dana Brooke match could be added into the mix. However, there are only six matches for WWE Hell in a Cell 2016.
