Married at First Sight Season 4 Recap: Tom and Lilian, Nick and Sonia Stay Married

In Married at First Sight season 4, the two remaining couples must choose between building on the relationship or getting a divorce. Both couples faced decision day after six weeks of going through a lot of struggles together.

In the last season, both couples are having a hard time coming up with a decision. They are contemplating if their feelings and the things that they have in common are enough to stay married. Or if it is better to let go and file for a divorce.

But before the episode rolls out the decisions of Tom and Lilian and, Nick and Sonia, the show opens with checking in with how Derek and Heather are doing. Both filed for divorce last season after just two weeks of marriage.

Derek Scwartz is seen going out with friend for a night out in the bar. He talks with other girls who pointed out his wedding ring. He will then take off his ring and decides that he is ready to date again. Heather also goes out with her friend Amber and said that she is ready to date. But that it is not her priority for the moment.

The episode then concentrates on Tom Wilson and Lilian Vilchez. Both worked on their vision board and finds out more about each other. They also consulted friends and family members about their marriage.

In an effort to lighten the atmosphere the night before decision day, Tom and Lilian decide to make s’mores in their backyard. Tom gives Lilian a clock, while she gives him a heart-shaped plaque engraved with their initials.

Married at First Sight season 4 then shows Nick Pendergrast and Sonia Granados on the last day before decision day. Sonia decides to move back to Nick’s house. They work on their vision board and finds out that they have a lot of things in common.

Both exchanged gifts that night. Sonia receives a silver necklace while she gave funny gifts to Nick. She gave Nick a cactus-printed underwear saying ‘Because you’re prickly’, and a shirt with poop emoji printed on it. Nick saw the humor in the gifts and is happily receives them.

Decision Day

Decision day came and both couples decide to stay and try to work things out. The four are ready to continue trying to make their marriage work.

The two surviving couples also met for the first time and both couples expressed their happiness about participating in the social experiment.
