Much has happened in a year for the group — from Zayn Malik leaving, to their recent announcement of the band’s hiatus. A recent tweet from Harry Styles further fueled an already circulating rumor about the group’s break up. The tweet got the world believing that it was the end and One Direction break up was really happening.
Six years. I have no idea how to say thank you for all your support. For everything you are, and everything you've done, thank you. H

Though the band never directly confirmed the split, fans are worried that Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan’s recent solo contracts signed with Capital Records would spell out the end of the group.
One Direction, however, never announced anything about disbanding and instead assured fans that they will be back.
But while the group has not officially shared anything about a break-up, many are convinced that it is the end.
On the news of the band’s hiatus, Simon Cowell even said that he was not certain if it really is just a hiatus, saying “I don’t know if it’s a hiatus or a breakup to be honest.”
Despite everyone being convinced that One Direction has finally called it off after six years, fans stay steadfast in their support.
Even as the newly added “Future Events” tab still being empty, for the Directioners, it gives them more reasons to believe that they can look forward to the comeback of One Direction.
