Utomik, the Netflix for Games, Adds Classic Unreal Titles

Utomik’s been going strong for a few months now and has been gradually adding more and more games for subscribes to play. This week they welcome Epic games classic Unreal series, including Unreal Tournament: GOTY Edition, Unreal Gold, and Unreal 2: The Awakening, with Unreal Tournament 2004 and Unreal Tournament 3 coming soon.

Uttomik differentiates itself from previous subscription-based services such as OnLive because it doesn’t simply stream the games, causing video compression and input lag. Utomik intelligently downloads the game as you play it, allowing you to get gaming without having to wait for a substantial download to complete.

The addition brings Utomik’s total numbers of available games to over 240. The subscription-based service’s open beta is currently live, with a 14-day free trial available for anyone who wants to give it a whirl, and during the open beta, the subscription itself is 40% off at $5.99 a month.

About Josh Price

Josh Price is a writer who probably spends too many hours of the day playing video games. At some point he decided to put the two together to (hopefully) great effect. He also wrote some fiction. You should check that out if you're into such things, which you should be. Reading is FUNdamental.
