Killer Instinct arrives March 29th, Pricing for Bundles Revealed

By on

Killer Instinct Season 3 arrives in just a few days on March 29th, marking the first time the game will be available on Windows 10. If you so choose, you can buy a bundle fearing all eight of  the new characters, or you can instead download Killer Instinct and play for free.

Killer Instinct Season 3 will be available in three bundle forms, each with their own “badass” titles.

The Combo Breaker bundle is only $20 includes all eight characters to be released during the course of season 3. The first four (Rash, Arbiter, Kim Wu, and Tusk) will be available immediately, but the other four will come in due time.

The Ultra Edition not only includes all eight fighters, but “VIP Double XP Booster, 8 retro costumes, accessory sets, bonus Retro color 7 for all 8 Season 3 characters, and 18,000 KI Gold (Limited time offer),” too. That one will cost you $40.

Then for $50 ($60 on Xbox One), you can have the whole kit and caboodle, every fighter from all three seasons and the other stuff listed above. The Xbox One version includes the original Killer Instinct Classic and Killer Instinct 2, but that’s omitted from the Windows 10 version. Hence the $10 price drop.

If you wanna pick up all the fighters released prior to season three, that bundle will cost you $30.

And again, if you’d rather just hop on Killer Instinct and play with whichever fighter is currently available in the free rotation, you can do that too. Or if you’re on Windows 10, you can check to see if the game actually works before you shell out $50 for the full package.

I can’t help but wonder if Street Fighter V would’ve been better received if it had followed a similar model.
