WarCraft 3 Seeing Its First Patch in Almost 5 Years

A Chinese video revealed recently that on March 15th the 12-year-old WarCraft 3 would be receiving its first major update in almost five years.

Gotta hand it to Blizzard. Say what you will about the direction of their most recent (and future) games, but the company supports them like none other. Coincidentally, a new patch for Diablo 2 was just announced this week as well. What’s next, a patch for Rock & Roll Racing?

No word yet on what either patch might entail, but chances are it’s just maintenance to make sure to fix any issues the game might have running on modern PCs. Maybe a few balance changes, too, for good measure. There’s been murmurs about Blizzard wanting to add all of their old games to the Battle.net launcher, so maybe this is the first steps toward that. Of course if they keep adding games to that, they’re probably going to watch to change how they’re displayed. That column will eventually run out of space.

I guess now it’s just a matter of time before WarCraft 4 comes out.

We can dream, can’t we?
