One of Battlefield 4 Premium’s primary aspects is that it allows players two-weeks early access to the game’s expansion packs, which will be available in the months following Battlefield 4’s release. These five exclusive map packs include Battlefield 4 China Rising, Battlefield 4 Second Assault, Battlefield 4 Naval Strike, Battlefield 4 Dragon’s Teeth and Battlefield 4 Final Stand.
Battlefield 4’s Premium subscription also includes unique in-game items and features that enhance the game’s multiplayer experience. For instance, Premium players will have access to new weekly content, a priority position in server queues, the ability to transfer Premium membership to the Xbox One or PlayStation 4, and unique personalization of camos, paints, emblems, dog tags and more.
Furthermore, Premium gamers will have access to twelve bonus Battlefield “Battlepacks”, which are randomized assortments of new camos, dog tags, knives, XP boosts, and gun attachments that players will receive throughout their multiplayer experience.
Additionally, DICE also announced on August 20th that an exclusive Battlefield 4 beta will be open for three days to Battlefield 3 Premium owners, those that pre-ordered Battlefield 4 Digital Deluxe, and owners of Medal of Honor Warfighter’s Digital Deluxe and Limited Editions. Afterwards, DICE will host a global open beta featuring the Battlefield 4 map “Siege of Shangai” set on Battlefield’s “Conquest” gametype.
Battlefield 4 is set for release on October 29th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 availability in the future. Also, the game’s Premium features will cost Battlefield fans an additional one-time fee of $50 and will be accessible as soon as Battlefield 4’s release. The game’s last downloadable expansion pack will be released in the Summer of 2014.
