The Nvidia SHIELD has been given a new release date due to last-minute technical issues.
Back in June, Nvidia sent out a press release saying that their android-powered handheld gaming console – the Nvidia SHIELD – would be hitting shelves on June 27, along with reduced price-tag.
Unfortunately, it has been nearly a month since the original launch date. However Nvidia has given out a new release date for the Nvidia SHIELD and have said thank you to all those who have been patient about the handheld’s delay.
“We want to thank you for your patience and for sticking with us through the shipment delay of your Shield,” a statement read. “Our goal has always been to ship the perfect product, so we made sure we submitted Shield to the most rigorous mechanical testing and quality assurance standards in the industry.
We built Shield because we love playing games, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.”
Though the Nvidia SHIELD was scheduled to release on June 27 it was delayed just hours before it was launched. Nvidia described the reason behind the delay as “a mechanical issue that we’re not happy with.”
