Recently, there have been a stream of rumors circulating around the Xbox One only being compatible with headsets that are produced by Microsoft. Streaming from this, many fans became upset to realize that there current gaming headsets, such as the Astro A40s, would not be compatible with the upcoming Xbox One.
Thankfully, this rumor has been cleared up rather quickly, as Xbox support has now confirmed that they are working on an adapter that will be compatible with wired headsets for the Xbox One. This information was brought forward in a report by GamingTarget, in which Xbox Support replied on Twitter with the information below.
@craigfellows We are working to develop an adapter for current wired headsets to connect. More details as we approach launch. ^PS

Currently, we have no information on when this peripheral launch for the Xbox One, or what the possible price point at which this adapter will launch at.
