Yesterday, Sony released a new downloadable content pack for the latest entry in the God of War series, God of War: Ascension. The dose of content, called Primordial Weapons, features new weapons and armor for the series’ extraordinarily angry anti-hero, Kratos.
God of War: Ascension is a prequel to the well-known series, and was met with mild befuddlement from players upon the release of its multiplayer beta late last year as they attempted to wrangle God of War’s trademark fluid, combo-heavy combat while simultaneously contending with live opponents. The series first foray into multiplayer gameplay features both competitive and cooperative play, and has been generally well-received in the press and by players who continue to log staggering amounts of time in its online arenas (to the tune of approximately 3.48 million hours played as detailed in this Sony infographic).
Players can find both the armor and weapon additions to the game’s arsenal on PSN for $2.99 each.
