Microsoft has been completely silent when it comes to details around their next generation system, which is expected to be the Xbox 720. Although Microsoft has not given any official details surrounding this system, this the does not stop information leaks from reaching the public eye.

According to an article posted on SemiAccurate yesterday, it appears that the Xbox 720 chip has reached its final design and will now be set into full production. Speaking of the chip that will be implemented into the Xbox 720, SemiAccurate states that this ship is currently being referred to as the Oban chip.

If this information turns out to be true, this provides major evidence to the claims that the Xbox 720 will be released this year. It is currently speculated that Microsoft will reveal the system and this year’s E3 event, which will take place during the summer.

As usual, fans should take this information with a grain of salt until it is confirmed by an official source.
