‘Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition’ surpasses 5 million sales before 2013

In a previous article, we spoke about the number of sales that the Minecraft franchise sold on Christmas Day. In reference to this article, it was stated that this franchise received a total of 453,000 sales across all platforms that it is currently available on, this being the PC, Xbox 360, iOS, and Android.


As many of you may know, when Minecraft was initially launched on the Xbox 360 platform, this title was given massive amounts of popularity within the Xbox community. Early on, this title showed promise with the initial sales that it received.


4J Studios revealed a massive milestone that Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition reached prior to the end of 2012. As revealed through the official Twitter account for 4J Studios, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has now surpassed a total of 5 million sales on Xbox Live.



As with the PC version of this title, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is still receiving content updates from its developers. Players are still granted with a stream of new content and features being added into this game, as it is being brought up to par with its PC counterpart.
