The latest Huawei Android 7.0 Nougat update will now be available for several devices. Huawei has already released a list of models to get this latest EMUI 5.0 and Android 7.0 updates. The company has integrated the beta versions of these updates into multiple Huawei devices.
Huawei will then add the stable versions of the Huawei Android 7.0 Nougat update into the P9 first. The Mate 8 will also include the update sometime in the first quarter of 2017. Phone Arena reports that Huawei will roll out this update subsequently for the P9 Lite, P9 Plus, and Nova.
The Nova Plus will also get the Huawei Android 7.0 Nougat update. The P8 and Mate S may also get this update sometime soon. The P8 makes use of a Kirin 935 chipset and octa-core 2 GHz CPU.
It also comes with 3 GB of RAM in tandem with 32/64/128 GB of onboard native storage. Huawei first launched the Mate S on September 15, 2015. The Kirin 935 chipset was then used for the device. Internal storage of 32/64 GB is also available.
Impact of Huawei Android 7.0 Nougat Update
The Huawei Mate 9 will come with the Android 7.0 Nougat update and beefed up EMUI 5.0. However, there is no official confirmation on whether Huawei will update any other devices. There is no confirmation on whether some older Huawei devices will be eligible for this update or not.
Huawei customers are eagerly awaiting the roll out of this update. However, those who currently own the Mate 8 or P9 may feel a tad disappointed by the timing of the rollout. Huawei’s new update has sparked huge excitement amongst fans of the brand.
The company is expecting greater traction for its smartphones once they introduced the said update. Huawei wishes to be equated with cutting-edge performance and reliability.
