John Cena being unhappy with Goldberg’s return is the latest WWE news today. Reports say that the American Grit star is disappointed at WWE CEO Vince McMahon for the special treatment the owner is giving Goldberg.
Goldberg finished Brock Lesnar in just two minutes during their highlight fight at the recently concluded Survivor Series. Although Goldberg and Lesnar only earn $6million per year compared to Cena’s $9.5million, Cena feels that WWE has taken his dedication for granted.
He feels that with the spotlight on Goldberg, he will soon be getting more than what he is currently earning. Especially after Goldberg’s announcement that he will be part of the 2017 Royal Rumble.
He argues that Goldberg who just made his comeback is earning a considerable amount for just a small amount of time and work. The 15-time champion is working part time for WWE. He is filming for the next season of American Grit. But the actor is still the highest paid WWE wrestler.
WWE News: Goldberg in ESPN WWE Power Ranking
Because of this WWE fans call on a fight between Goldberg and John Cena on next year’s Royal Rumble. Goldberg has yet to comment on the fans’ request but whoever he will be fighting come Royal Rumble, he is still a happy wrestler.
Even after his 12 years hiatus, Goldberg has created enough blast to assure himself of a seat in the ESPN WWE Power Ranking. Goldberg, after showing he is a major destructive machine during his comeback fight, lands in the 8th spot.
This WWE news is a big deal for Goldberg. Now, he is one of the biggest household names in the WWE Universe. He and the rest of the power wrestlers are chosen by a voting panel. The panel includes writers Arash Markazi, Brian Campbell, Nic Atkin, Peter Rosenberg, Sean Coyle and Tim Fiorvanti.
