The last episode of the first season of HITMAN came out nearly a month ago. But IO Interactive still has plans for their assassination simulator.
In this past month alone they’ve already added some new Elusive Targets and Escalation Contracts to their ever growing game. And today they continue that trend by releasing a new update that aims to further polish their game as well as add some new features.
More importantly, this update adds a much requested Offline Mode to the game.
HITMAN November Update
The November update, also known as 1.7.0, adds some new features that aim to make the game more aesthetically pleasing and transition a bit smoother.
The update adds some new UI elements and new menus to better display information to the player with regards to how well they played a level.
But what might be the biggest addition with the update is a new offline profile that allows players to use all of their unlocked rewards without an internet connection.
For those unfamiliar with the newest Hitman game, players unlock rewards for completing challenges in the six different stages. Unlocks vary between weapons, tools, and perks.
But there was a catch.
Even if a player had unlocked these different items, they could only be used if their game client was connected online. Which of course is unfortunate for those with poor or no internet connection easily available.
This update seeks to remedy that by allowing players to use their already unlocked gear even in offline mode. However, they still won’t be able to unlock any new content while offline, but it’s definitely a step in the right direction.
In addition to all these additions the new update also fixes several issues present across the six different stages.
The mandatory update arrives on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on November 28. It will be 2.4GB on PS4, 13.6GB on Xbox One, and 2.1GB on PC.
IO Interactive also announced their plans for a December update within the coming weeks.
