The Walking Dead season 3 game fans will not be able to grab a hold of the game this month. However, sources claim that before the year ends, the game will be available for all.
While initially set to be released in November this year, Telltale Games announced it will be a little bit off schedule. The Walking Dead Season 3: The New Frontier will be available late December. Just in time for the Christmas season.
The Walking Dead: Season 3 – The New Frontier
The first episode will be made available for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, as well as mobile on December 20. Other than episode 1, a season pass for four more episodes will be ready for Xbox One and PS4 on February 7.
They are also offering a free The Walking Dead: Season 2 and The Walking Dead: Michonne for those who pre-order the game on PS4.
New playable characters will be gracing the third season. This includes Javier, who Telltale’s Job Stauffer said is an essential character. “He’s been through a lot and he is central to this story.”
Laura Perusco also confirms that the story will be a continuation but with some new elements present.
A new exciting feature is that players can mold Javier’s personality into their liking. Clementine’s back story will also be explored. In addition, a chance to play side stories will be an added feature to the game.
Telltale has made sure that both returning players and new players can enjoy The Walking Dead Season 3: The New Frontier equally. Though it is a continuation, new to the game players will not feel lost. This is an added bonus for those who no longer wishes to start from season 1.
The Walking Dead Season 3: The New Frontier is yet to be sold on Steam but is now available via Telltale Games directly. Pre-order to get 10% off and freebies. Originally at $25, early orders will just be at $22.50.
