Titanfall 2 hasn’t been doing very well in terms of sales. For one reason or another, it’s just not selling that many copies with reports coming in saying it has only sold about a quarter of the original.
Which is a bit of a shame since critics have done nothing but praise the game since launch. Both the multiplayer and singleplayer experience are excellent with many people calling it far superior than the first game.
But that’s not stopping the Titanfall 2 team from giving the game their all. And today they’ve announced their first batch of DLC.
And in case any of you forgot, all DLC for the game will be absolutely free. This one included.
Titanfall 2 First Batch of Free DLC
The first batch of DLC includes Angel City, a returning map from the first Titanfall, some new equipment for both Pilots and Titans, as well as some new features in the game.
Players that pre-ordered Titanfall 2 will have early access to Angel City on November 30, three days before the map becomes available for everyone else on December 3.
The new weapons and other updates however will be available to everyone from November 30.
In addition to the new content, the update will also include a new in-game store. Now calm down, it’s not as bad as you might be thinking.
The new in-game store will sell purely cosmetic items. In addition to that, there will be no RNG involved in the store. No random loot boxes like in other shooters and games.
Instead it’s as simple as purchasing what you want and getting it instantly. Or in the words of their blog online:
We will have no in-game currency exchange. No locked loot boxes, crafting shards or pay-to-win weaponry. No RNG. If you see something you like, you buy it and that’s it. These in no way effect stats and are purely cosmetic.
A full list of everything coming with the update as well as their message to the fans can be found on their official site here.
Titanfall 2 is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
