Aleyna Fitzgerald bested all other models and crowned as Australia’s Next Top Model.
The fight for the title is a close one as the 16-year-old winner won by just half a point to rival Sabine Jamieson. “I don’t think it will set in for a very long time. I’m just on top of the world,” Fitzgerald says.
During the finals, the two pose for an eight-page editorial photo shoot for Elle Magazine. The theme is a modern princess and the two are in good hands by famous photographer Georges Antoni.
On the cover, the two wore white, ruffled gowns in black studded boots. The Australia’s Next Top Model judges were in awe with both cover photos.

For Aleyna, Jennifer Hawkins exclaimed, “Aleyna…you look so gorgeous, but from head to toe to the tips of your fingers, you’re owning this photograph with ease. Aleyna, I can’t fault it, it’s a ten from me.’
Megan Gale gave 9.5 points and Alex Perry giving another 10 points to Aleyna. The winner garnered a total of 29.5 points.
Sabine, who got a total of 29 points, also received praises from the judges. Gale gave the 17-year-old contender 10 points, “I can’t fault it, it’s amazing I love what you’ve done, it’s a ten.”
Perry echoes the other judges’ praises saying, “It’s a modern day version of what glamor is…It’s very editorial, you’ve taken something and given it your own personality.”
Before the final feedback from the judges, the two walked in the biggest runway the show ever produced in all its ten seasons. Participating in the fashion show are the thirteen other contestants and some alumni contestants from the previous seasons.
