A galactic revolution will be coming to consoles. EA and DICE finally reveal more details about the latest Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One DLC.
The game’s newest DLC will bring content exclusively from the new Star Wars film, which they will release this December. A rag-tag team of rebels is planning to steal plans for the then-new Death Star. The events of this movie will take place between Episodes Five and Six of the films.
Likewise, the DLC will add four new maps, two characters, and other new content.
According to IGN, the DLC will have the title Rogue One: Scarif. It will be the final expansion pack for the Battlefront series of games. The game added Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic, who are the protagonists of the film, as new characters.
They will join Darth Vader, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker in the shooter’s host of heroes and villains.
The DLC will also be set in Scarif, which is the tropical planet seen in the movie’s trailers. The game will now offer space and ground combat, a much-awaited feature for fans.
Star Wars Battlefront: More DLCs for Upcoming Films?
Although this marks the end of the DLC offerings or Star Wars Battlefront, there may be options opened for other films. Given that there will be Episodes 8 and 9 in the future, the new Star Wars games may open new DLC options.
Excited players will be delighted to find out that the Rogue One DLC will be included for anyone who purchased the game’s Season Pass. PlayStation VR owners can also buy the Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission starting on December 6.
The game will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The DLC releases on December 6 across all platforms.
