Ricky Martin finally popped the question to boyfriend artist Jwan Yosef, the singer reveals on the Ellen DeGeneres show.
The former coach of The Voice Australia admits he felt “really nervous.” He went down on his knees and made a muddle of his proposal.
Instead of saying ‘will you marry me,’ Martin blurts out, “I got you something.”

Yosef replied, “Yes?” Martin says ‘he want to spend his life with Yosef.
Then Yosef asked him, “What is the question?”
“Would you marry me,” Martin finally said. Apparently, he still felt nervous because it took him 30 minutes to realize Yosef already said yes.
The singer describes Yosef as a “conceptional artist.” They met over a year ago when he was looking for art, the 44-year-old singer recalls.

Yosef has a good relationship with Martin’s eight-year-old twins, Matteo and Valentino, he adds.
The 32-year-old artist was born in Syria to a Kurdish Muslim father and an Armenian Greek Orthodox mother. He moved to Sweden while still a young boy.
Ricky Martin first admitted he is gay in 2010. ‘I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am,’ he wrote on March 29, 2010.
In the same year, he entered a relationship with stockbroker Carlos Gonzalez Abella. They broke up three years later.
In May last year, the Livin’ La Vida Loca singer declared he wants to get married.
“For me that paper is important. I also love the romanticism behind it,” he told Pink News.
Ricky Martin became one of the most popular teen stars in Latin America in the 1990s. He was the lead singer of the Latin singing group Menudo. He has been credited as the one largely responsible for the group’s popularity in many parts of the world.
