2K Games ensures players are not left alone in their quest to reign supreme in the basketball arena. The latest NBA 2K17 update improves a lot of features players generally nitpick in the game.
The update is released initially on the PlayStation 4, but it will soon arrive on the Xbox One and PC.
In general, the game finally adds HDR support for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. This means the game can now run at a native 4K resolution at 60FPS on the latter. Players can also use post-release uniforms in Play Now games with custom rosters.
Post-release shoes will also dynamically appear in game mode saves, and users have the ability to toggle off the Zoom in Paint camera when using the default cameras.
Controller settings will also not reset after games are played online. Meanwhile, various gameplay fixes such as disabled timing, more reliable short passes, and dial back pass speeds are improved.
The CPU’s double team logic and general defensive AI decision making are also improved, and shots in general, are more accurate. There were also vast improvements in the MyPARK, MyCAREER and MyGM modes.
Most of the improvements are for short bugs and minor animation fixes. However, these greatly affect the way players enjoy and play the game. Perhaps the patch’s biggest achievement is its PlayStation 4 Pro compatibility, as patches do need to make sure gameplay and graphics adjust to the game correctly.
Players can view the full list of patch notes on the game’s Facebook page.
NBA 2K17 Update: Ensuring the Best Basketball Experience
However, it seems 2K Games really catered to some aesthetics in the game. Players can even unequip socks from their players. A large number of uniforms were also fixed to fit authenticity.
Patch 1.05 is proof that any NBA 2K17 update will continue to try to improve the overall experience of fans towards the critically-acclaimed game.
Fans will be aware that NBA 2K17 remains one of the best (if not the only) basketball simulation game in the market. Players will also notice other little bug fixes and adjustments throughout the game. The game also clarifies that patch fixes will work across existing game modes.
