New York Marathon 2016 updates have come in and a whopping 50, 000 runners are expected to participate. The TCS New York Marathon 2016 route will pass through the five boroughs. Several streets will also be closed between 8 AM and 6.30 PM on Sunday.
The 46th annual marathon has generated a huge buzz in the city. The said will have runners moving through all five boroughs. It will be a grueling race throughout 26.2 miles in all.
NBC has given several New York Marathon 2016 updates in recent times. It is now known that 50, 000 runners are expected to participate. AccuWeather has also predicted a dry and slightly chilly day. It has also hinted at a northwestern breeze which may affect runners.
Some Other Key Details
The first wave from the starting line will start at 9.20 AM sharp. This will be composed of professional women racers. The last wave will be starting at 11 AM sharp. There are little chances of rain and there might be some sun too. However, the chill, cannot be avoided.
Temperatures will rise by the time the event gets over in the afternoon. The marathon will commence at Staten Island’s Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. However, temperatures will be quite chilly there with a strong wind.
