Another victory for Mayweather will help him surmount the 49-0 record he shares with Rocky Marciano. Mayweather will then rightfully be called the best ever boxer in the world. Pacquiao may also want to generate more cash for financing his political ambitions. Reportedly, he aims at being the President of the Philippines in the year 2020.

Why A Final Bout Looks Quite Possible

The T-Mobile Arena in Vegas could be the most happening destination for this iconic matchup. The MGM Grand will depend heavily on Mayweather. There may also be jaw-dropping amounts of money to lure both boxers back into a final bout.

Another big factor will be that Bob Arum will be a part of the promotions and he has already said that the door remains open for a rematch. The earlier fight saw Pacquiao fighting with a shoulder injury. However, he can be totally fit for this rematch in 2017 if it happens.

Mayweather has still been training rigorously and may be itching to come back under the spotlight again. However, he has earned a lot of money and may never have to get back into the ring again. This is one possible reason for a rematch not happening.
