Manchester United Roster News: Striker Slams Jose Mourinho; Reveals Shocking Facts About Man Utd

As per the latest Manchester United Roster news alerts, former striker Diego Forlan has come out with some shocking revelations. Forlan has revealed comments made by his previous Manchester United skipper Roy Keane. These comments allegedly portray Chelsea in a disparaging light.

These Manchester United Roster news revelations come after a mammoth loss to Chelsea. Forlan has also slammed Jose Mourinho for his criticism of United players. According to Sports Nova, Roy Keane dismissed Chelsea FC as being just a small club.

The Actual Statements Made by Keane

Forlan played at United between 2002 and 2004 and asked his captain Keane for his opinion relating to Chelsea FC. In his column for The National, Forlan revealed Keane’s shocking comments. Keane reportedly stated that Chelsea was nothing like as big as Liverpool or Arsenal. Even other Manchester United players felt the same way according to Forlan.

When Keane captained Manchester United, major title rivals were Arsenal, Blackburn Rovers FC, and Newcastle United FC. Keane has previously claimed that Chelsea were only able to beat United a few times in the period.

Forlan minced no words when slamming current Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho. He came out strongly against Mourinho’s public criticism of players. Some of the affected players include Jesse Lingard, Luke Shaw, and Henrikh Mkhitariyan.

However, Forlan also felt that Chelsea fans should be thankful to Mourinho. Mourinho helped the club win their first Premier League trophy in the year 2005. Forlan stated that Mourinho had become a hero there for making them champions of England.

Forlan also added that it would be best to judge the new coach only after 25 league games had taken place instead of only eight. He also stated that United being seventh in the league has lowered expectations. Forlan is currently playing for Mumbai City in the Indian Super League.

Mourinho would certainly get a respectful and warm reception from Chelsea fans according to Forlan. However, when Manchester United played Chelsea at the latter’s home turf, the former were left reeling after a 4-0 loss. The fans showed immense respect for Mourinho but United stayed put at 7th place with only 14 points. Chelsea are currently at 19 points.
