High School Musical 4 ‘Working Years’ Confirmed! Cast Taylor Swift as New Baddie?

Ever since Disney announced that plans for the making of High School Musical 4 are already in the works, a lot of buzz have been going around about the movie. Everything is just speculations but very interesting nonetheless.

One of the rumors circulating around is the reunion of the original Wildcats cast. This started when Zac Efron posted an Instagram photo of him with co-stars Corbin Bleu and Lucas Gabreel. He also posted a throwback picture with his HSM co-stars.

Further rumors suggest that the old cast will reunite after graduating college and have started their careers. It is even said that the title for the fourth installment is High School Musical 4: Working Years.

HSM fans confessed their excitement on social media on the reunion of their favorite Disney love team, Troy and Gabriella.

Taylor Swift Joins High School Musical 4

Another rumor has surfaced and fans are not happy about it. Reports say that Taylor Swift will replace Vanessa Hudgens as Gabriella. Talks suggest the reunion of Zac and Vanessa on the movie might cause more harm than good due to their bad breakup. This is especially true if the rumors about Troy and Gabriella’s marriage in the movie is confirmed.

For the ‘Zanessa’ fans out there, don’t despair yet as this is just a rumor and has not been confirmed by Disney nor the stars involved. In fact, another speculation has surfaced that Taylor Swift will indeed join the cast, not as Gabriella, but as Sharpey Evans.

This rumor stemmed after Ashley Tisdale announced that she will not return to play the character again for the fourth installment. “Looking back, it was such a perfect thing for its time and was so pure that I just don’t know how you go from there,” the 30-year-old American actress said during an interview with New You’s Summer Issue. “High School Musical didn’t make us, we made High School Musical because of our friendship, how close we were, and the magic there at the time,” notes International Business Times.

Some people wants the old cast back but others are also open to brand new ones. People have given their own opinions about the matter. But then again, all of these are all rumors and are not true until confirmed. Let us hold still for now and wait for the confirmation and hope that the announcement will be in our favor.
