Blizzard’s hit card game Hearthstone is starting to secure the pedestal for the best online TCGs in mobile gaming. However, a new mode allows players to be more powerful with new Hearthstone decks.
Competitive players will recognize the popularity of Tavern Brawl. The game mode has impacted the card game’s economy with new cards and straightforward mechanics. But this time, Blizzard has a new game mode that can earn players new card packs.
According to Blizzard, the new Heroic Tavern Brawl will be taking over regular Tavern Brawls in a few weeks. In this version of the game mode, the game pulls from the Standard set. This means only cards from the expansions of the last two years, Classic, and Basic cards will be used.
Players are tasked to build their own deck using these cards. However, when they lock their decks in they cannot change them through the course of the week.
Race to the Finish
Tavern Brawl is similar to the game’s Arena mode. The freshly-built deck will be used to fight against players around the globe. The goal is to get as many wins as possible before getting three losses. Players who reach 12 wins will be unlocking a ton of Hearthstone decks.
This means they can get 50 card packs, some gold, and arcane dust, as well as three random legendary (golden!) cards.
Sadly, entry to the Heroic Tavern Mode will have a price. Players have to give out 1,000 gold or $9.99 to enter the entire week. An arena run will cost $1.99 or 150 gold for players. However, players can only take part in these “runs” for a limited number of time.
However, according to Polygon, based on the language of the Blizz.net post, the Heroic variants may be appearing this week.
Hearthstone is available for both iOS and Android. It’s a spin-off of the company’s popular WarCraft franchise and features a lot of its characters and concepts.
