The enigmatic Goku Black will be zooming towards Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. A new trailer confirms the arrival of the Dragon Ball Super character.
Goku Black will be arriving as a pre-order bonus in Bandai Namco’s newest Dragon Ball game. He came from the Dragon Ball Super show in Japan and is quite loved (or unloved) by the franchise’s fans.
The powerfully evil Goku Black will be a playable character in the game. According to the new Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 trailer shows Goku Black annihilating Super Saiyan God Vegeta. He seems to have a similar move set with the original Goku. However, the character’s signature Kamehameha has a black and purple glow, opposite Goku’s blue.
Either way, this means Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has direct ties with the new anime. For the unfamiliar, Goku Black is an old opponent for Future Trunks. He is capable of traveling through time with a ring.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 seems to be a good fit for Goku Black given the game’s fractured timeline. Villains are converging in the universe of the game in order to wreak havoc. Regardless, this presence may imply that he is giving the capabilities for opponents to travel through time.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2: Soon to launch
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is going to launch in a week. However, this means Bandai Namco may not reveal anything about the plot soon. Fans can still easily recognize the immense power of Goku Black and he might even be a contender to the game’s primary antagonist.
However, Goku Black’s role in the story is still unknown. Will he become an antihero? Will he help the heroes?
Sadly, many players cannot use Goku Black given he’s a pre-order bonus character.
Regardless, there are still a lot of characters that may compensate for the lack of villains in the game. There are 68 whopping characters to be used in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Favorites such as Future Trunks, Majin Vegeta and Piccolo will make a presence. The original Son Goku, and the classic grandpa Gohan from the original Dragon Ball franchise will also make an appearance.
Players can also make their own custom fighters by the time the game launches.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be having an October 25 launch for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
