Players can experience a tease of futuristic combat for a day longer. Activision is set to extend the Call of Duty Infinite Warfare beta for the PlayStation 4.
The developers said the PlayStation 4 version of Call of Duty Infinite Warfare beta will be running until tomorrow, October 18, 10AM PT.
According to Activision and Infinity Ward, the game will still test its matchmaking system. This allows the game to make better-quality multiplayer games. Players can remember that this will be an additional feature for this particular Call of Duty game.
However, players who did not get to play the beta should not feel too sad. There will be a new beta arriving on October 21 to 24 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Sadly, an option for PC isn’t really entering the picture.
New mode, map!
The surprises do not end here. The Call of Duty Infinite Warfare beta also adds a fourth map and a new gameplay mode.
According to Polygon, players will now be able to fight inside the Precinct. It is a medium-sized map that is similar to some multiplayer maps in other FPS games. However, Precinct is highlighted with narrow streets and large interior spaces. This paves way for more intense combat for the various Rigs players can choose from.
Meanwhile, the Kill Confirmed Mode makes its way back into the game. Call of Duty veterans will recognize the iconic mode with its familiar mechanics. Call of Duty Infinite Warfare beta has its Kill Confirmed rotated in various modes throughout the beta.
Kill Confirmed forces players to “collect” tags of their fallen enemies before earning points. However, it is also possible to deny these enemies of those points by collecting them first.
According to the game, the Precinct will be able to touch on various play styles of players.
The other maps available are Frontier, Throwback and Frost. Meanwhile, other game modes are Team Death Match, Defender and Domination.
Regardless, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare will be launching on November 5 for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
