Law and Order SVU Season 18: Donald Trump Episode Airs Before US Elections 2016

Law and Order SVU season 18 goes political with its Donald Trump-inspired episode which airs on October 26, just two weeks before the November 8 US presidential elections.

The highly controversial Donald Trump and Billy Bush’s leaked conversation of Trump’s evident disrespect to women has caused quite a stir from different female and non-female celebrities and famous personalities.

The video was about Bush and Trump talking about the latter’s failed attempt to seduce a woman. “I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married,” he shared candidly. “Then all of a sudden I see her, she’s now got the big phony tits and everything. She’s totally changed her look.”

“I’ve got to use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.”

“And when you’re a star, they let you do it, you can do anything.” He added.

Trump apologized about the statement saying that it was merely locker-room talk and that Bill Clinton said worst things.

Despite his seemingly insincere apology, celebrities, and famous personalities are lashing on the Republican.

Law and Order SVU Season 18: Donald Trump Inspired Episode

Less than two weeks before the election on November 8, Law and Order SVU season 18 will be airing an episode on October 28 with a similar story line. Gary Cole will be playing a politician whose campaign is in danger because of the backlash he has been getting from women.

The episode entitled Unstoppable is the latest headline-inspired episode from the series. The season’s first episode was inspired by the San Bernardino California shooting. Its second episode is also on a real-life case of a man who was wrongfully accused and imprisoned for rape.

Season show runner, co-executive producer of Law and Order Rick Eid did say previously that they are looking at what to do to make episodes more impactful.

“How do we continue to tell great stories, powerful stories, stories in the zeitgeist, things that matter to people that are top of mind in the best way possible?”
