MacGyver 2016 started off episode 1 with mixed reviews and comparisons with its predecessor from ’85. But episode 2 seems to be redeeming itself with more action and improvising.
So far, we know that in MacGyver 2016, Angus MacGyver played by Lucas Till, is younger and his team and dynamics, a lot bigger and shall we say, better.
The 20-something protagonist is working side by side his muscle man, Jack Dalton. In fact, in the second episode, they’ll be working together to save Jack’s ex-girlfriend from harms way.
Broadway World shares that “MacGyver and the team attempt to rescue Sarah (Amy Acker), Jack’s former CIA partner/ex-girlfriend who went missing in Venezuela after she obtained evidence to take down an international arms dealer”
MacGyver 2016 Episode 2 Spoilers
Before episode 2 airs on Fridays at 8/7c on CBS and CBS All Access, let’s look at some scenes we can expect with CBS’s First Look at Metal and Saw:
Not only do we see the more expected action scenes, car chases, gun fights but we can also expect a much more difficult enemy, a smiley Jack and glowing Amy Acker, Angus unmasking his friend Wilt who is wearing some sort of military costume, Riley asking Wilt for a favor (what it might be, we still don’t know), the not-so-techy Angus MacGyver troubled about something he saw online, and Riley deep in thought.
In a one-minute sneak peek for next episode, we can see a gun fight between Angus’ team as they try to save Sarah from wherever well-guarded fortress she’s gotten herself in.
But for those who missed the first episode of MacGyver 2016, CBS made it available for online streaming in their website.
The 45-minute premiere entitled The Rising can be watched here.
However episode 2 goes, we know to expect the unexpected with things not going exactly as the team has planned.
