Medical drama, Chicago Med Season 2 premiered on NBC last week with Dr. Manning and med student Jeff Clarke’s sexy love scene at his apartment. The jealous Dr. Halstead takes things personally and creates hell for Jeff.
The first episode showcased Dr. Choi’s bumpy road as the new chief resident and Dr. Manning dealing with a complicated case of a pregnant woman who was in a car collision. In addition, Dr. Connor Rhodes difficulty in working with his new mentor, Dr. Latham, becomes evident when he begins his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery.

According to NBC, the second episode will be about Dr. Manning and Dr. Rhodes both dealing with separate cases of treating babies that turn out to be connected after all.
“DR CHOI MENTORS A NAVY CORPSMAN AND TWO CASES FIND A SURPRISING CONNECTION – Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) separately treat complicated cases involving sick babies, only to uncover that the two cases could actually be intertwined. Elsewhere, Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) treat a homeless man with an upbeat disposition who sheds some valuable insight that prompts one of the doctors to learn a thing or two along the way. Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) has a Navy corpsman follow him for the day as they deal with the toll of gang violence in the city, while Dr. Reese (Rachel DiPillo) tries to understand the delicate balance required in her new position.”

In order to save the babies, Dr. Rhodes suggest they do something very unethical to save the critical babies.
A more light natured case of a man who has injured both his wrists and was found to be homeless for 15 years was also featured in Chicago Med season 2 episode 2.
The not-so mentally stable patient shares “valuable insight that prompts one of the doctors to learn a thing or two along the way,” according to NBC.
Chicago Med season 2 episode 2 airs Thursday night on NBC.
