The Undertaker WWE return has been the constant buzz among wrestling fans for months now. However, at WWE 2016 Clash of Champions, the Deadman may finally rise from the grave.
Rumors have been bouncing around the wrestling world that The Undertaker will finally make a comeback at WWE. The former champion was last seen on April after winning a Hell in a Cell match against Shane McMahon. Since then, The Undertaker has been out of the wrestling arena.
However, it seems WWE has plans of bringing the Big Evil back and it may very well be this weekend at Clash of Champions 2016. In a video released by WWE, it was hinted that the possible Undertaker return may be at the expense of John Cena.
The 15-time champ and the Phenom have met each other in the ring before, but a rematch will definitely make every fan excited.
Although the video noted a Wrestlemania 33 fight card for the two superstars, a Clash of Champions face-off wouldn’t be bad either.
John Cena vs The Undertaker was originally scheduled for Wrestlemania 32, IBT UK reports. However, The Champ suffered an injury leading his opponent to face Shawn-o-Matic.
John Cena is also not scheduled for any fights this Pay-Per-View weekend, so a surprise face-off with The Undertaker will definitely hype up WWE Monday Night Raw on Sept 26.
While nothing has been confirmed, The Undertaker’s return to the WWE seems inevitable. Aside from Cena, several other superstars have been thrown in the mix as his possible next opponent. Brock Lesnar and Hulk Hogan are among the possible opponents the Deadman in his comeback to the squared circle.
The future Hall of Famer has not commented on his WWE 2016 return, but whenever that time comes fans will definitely be welcoming him and his Tombstone Piledriver.
