There is something to be excited about for fans of the Netflix mini-series, Stranger Things. Leaked photos of filming around Hawkins Laboratory might make for an early release of Stranger Things Season 2.
Reddit user hollygorock recently shared photos of what seems to be the series’ production crew set up in Atlanta. Photos include parked trailers, cars and filming equipment parked in front of Hawkins Lab.
Though Netflix did not specifically announce when the premiere of season 2 will be except that it is by next year, the photos got fans speculating that they might be able to expect Stranger Things season 2 release date sooner rather than later.
What We Know About Stranger Things Season 2
The story resumes a year later in 1984 continuing what was left off last season. And maybe answering questions left open during season 1.
However, reports are pointing out that what happened to Eleven will remain a mystery. Even the Duffer brothers, creators of Stranger Things, are unsure.
“We don’t know about Eleven,” Ross Duffer told Entertainment Weekly. “We leave that up in the air.”
But Matt Duffer confirms that there will be new characters. It seems like Mike, Will, Lucas and Dustin will be meeting a new girl in town and TVLine shares that she will definitely be one of the boys.
Max, a 12-14 year old girl who’s “appearance, behavior and pursuits seem more typical of boys than of girls in this era” will be the star of Stranger Things season 2 episode 1.
Two other characters will be gracing the second season: Max’s testosterone-pumped older brother Billy, and the thirty something Roman, who is said to be out for “revenge” of some sort.
Season 2 also explores the Upside Down in greater detail. Remember, the portal from the alternate universe is still opened at Hawkins and who knows what other creatures exist and come out of it? Hawkins might be expecting more visitors after all. Yikes!
Though much of Stranger Things season 2 is still a mystery, fans can be sure that stranger things will definitely come out—and possibly early next year!
