Since 2003, NCIS has successfully captivated viewers with action-packed episodes and the upcoming NCIS Season 14 will not disappoint.
The upcoming season is expected to have a lot of changes in the NCIS office. Though Tony DiNozzo’s (Michael Weatherly) departure will be mentioned now and again, the team will be focusing on moving forward. A promotion for McGee is in the line-up. But more importantly, wedding bells are ringing as he finally asks Delilah to marry him!
The biggest addition, however, are the two new faces in the new season. Special Agent Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Special Agent Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) will be joining the team.
“The intent was to really enter Season 14 with something new, and move the show forward, and try some things, and do something different,” executive producer Gary Glasberg shares with TVGuide.com
Valderrama’s character, the actor says, “is like nothing that ‘NCIS’ has ever seen. He’s a deep, deep undercover guy, which means he becomes the people that he is surrounding himself with, the people that he is investigating.”
If his NCIS character is anything like his role on From Dusk Til Dawn as Carlos Madrigal, the elusive and mysterious Vampire cartel leader, then Nick Torres will definitely be a character to look out for.
There is expected to be a lot of clashing between the vampire-police and the lone wolf, Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Harmon) with differences in methods and Torres’ outspoken nature.
“He’s one of the first characters to really get in Gibbs’ face, to voice his discomfort with certain methods,” shares the actor.
With or without the vampire side of Valderrama, his character is definitely expected to change things up in the squad. But we’re still hoping that he’ll take vampire with his new role as police.
NCIS Season 14 is set to premiere on September 20 at CBS.
