Everybody cried their eyes out at the ending sequence of the film Furious 7. It was the perfect goodbye to Paul Walker. However, new reports reveal his character might may a comeback in Fast and Furious 8.
Most fans thought it would be their last time seeing Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, in the franchise. However, a recent update revealed a possible return. According to the late actor’s brother, Caleb, O’Conner might still appear in the Fast and Furious 8 movie.
At a fundraising event dubbed Game4Paul, Caleb and Cody Walker told Entertainment Tonight that he has been talking to Vin Diesel about Brian’s appearance in the film. Caleb said that Diesel wanted their blessing on the movie feature.
“I had a phone call with Vin for about an hour and we really discussed this a while back. He wanted [our] blessing,” Caleb said. He added that Diesel wanted to know if it “would be acceptable to maybe bring Paul’s character back… to really kind of let his fans know he’s still out there.”
Cody also added that Universal wanted to make sure to respect Paul, his image, and his family. Both brothers have reiterated that Diesel and Universal have the utmost respect for their late brother. They said that srudio wouldn’t make a Brian O’Conner appearance without everyone’s blessing.
Furious 8, a Trilogy?
Fast and Furious 8 movie is the next instalment in the franchise that started in 2001. The film is going to hit the theaters on April 14, 2017 and is directed by F. Gary Gray and written by Chris Morgan.
Vin Diesel said that the film would be set in New York City. Producer Neal H. Moritz also told The Hollywood Reporter that “the movie needs to be as good as or better than Furious 7”.
Furious 8 cast would include the regular ensemble composed of Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Chris Bridges.
After the release of Fast and Furious 8 , it would be followed by the next instalment Fast 9 in April of 2019. Also, a planned tenth instalment would be released on April 2021.
