As the third season of the coming-of-age Disney sitcom comes to an end, fans insist that Girl Meets World Season 4 continues and this time tackling more mature topics facing teenagers everywhere.
Disney Channel has not yet announced if there will be a fourth season to Girl Meets World and fans are getting more anxious.
Girl Meets World Season 4 to Move to Freeform?
A petition was posted on Change.org asking Disney Channel to move Season 4 to Freeform.
47,489 supporter signed the petition by Smurf Vlogs, since it was started 6 months ago. That number exceeds the 40,000 needed.
The petition is still open and fans can still sign up for the appeal. It will be sent to Disney Channel.
The appeal points out that the reason fans want to move to Freeform is mainly because Disney Channel caters to kids which restricts the series to child-appropriate subjects.
Unlike its predecessor, Boy Meets World, the sitcom might not be able to explore more mature subjects such as dating and sex– topics every teenager can relate to.
Another reason for the petition is Disney’s track record of limiting a show to up to four seasons only. The fans believe the sitcom deserves more. Again comparing it to Boy Meets World which ran up to seven seasons.
Rumors of cancellation
Speculations about the possible cancellation grew stronger when Disney Channel released a photo while on-set, with the entire Boy Meets World cast reunion happening on the third season finale of the show.

Fans got even more worried when Girl Meets World star Rowan Blanchard posted this tweet:

Uriah Shelton, Blanchard’s on-screen uncle, also posted a photo on his Instagram. The caption says “Thanks guys. I’m going to miss you. It makes me incredibly proud to have been a part of something so special to so many people.”
As of the moment there is no confirmed reports yet on Girl Meets World Season 4.
