Super Mario Run release date is today! Well, at least the special sticker pack. The set for the iMessage app is now available for download in the App Store, three months prior to the scheduled Super Mario Run release.
According to App Store, the Super Mario Run sticker set is ready for download, free of charge, for anyone with an iOS device. However, it is only compatible on devices running on iOS 10 and cannot be installed on those running on iOS 10 beta or previous iOS versions.
The sticker pack consists of popular Super Mario icons as well as different expressions and close-ups of Mario himself.
The app description says “Show off your feelings with Mario’s expressions or use items to decorate your conversations to make them look like a scene from Mario’s world.”
Super Mario Run Scheduled Release Date
According to Nintendo, the much-anticipated Super Mario Run release date is scheduled for December on iPhone and iPad. It will be downloadable for free, though some additional content will be available for purchase.
The announcement was made during the September 7 iPhone 7 release as part of Apple’s new partnership with Nintendo. According to Tech Times, it is expected to be announced publicly this week.
Whether or not the said partnership will mean exclusivity of Super Mario Run iOS has yet to be confirmed. Tech site Kotaku, however, claims that Nintendo told the site “We do intend to release the game on Android devices at some point in the future.” Super Mario Run android version may just be around the corner.
Super Mario Run Gameplay
Nintendo describes the game as “A new kind of Mario game that you can play with one hand.”
It is an endless runner game where, throughout the course, Mario moves forward to collect coins. Depending on the timing of the taps, Mario will move differently.
Players can choose from three different game modes:
- a one player mode featuring different courses to complete, all while collecting coins
- a player to player mode competing to impress toads to join your team
- a third mode where you can create your own Mushroom Kingdom with the coins and toads collected from the first two modes.
Super Mario Run release date may not be today, but start enjoying the sticker pack with the iOS 10 download on app store.
