Grace VanderWaal, the youngest finalist of America’s Got Talent 2016, is one of the most popular contestants and arguably the fan favorite this year. With her performances watched more than 100 million times on Facebook and having been given the title “the next Taylor Swift”, could Grace be America’s Got Talent 2016 winner?
Apart from getting a Golden Buzzer from Cowell last June, taking her straight to the semi-finals, the 12-year-old has also received great reviews from the other judges. Heidi Klum believes VanderWaal will be competing in the finals, saying “I would not be surprised if you’re one of the last two people in this competition.” Howie Mendel even predicts the young singer to be “the biggest star to ever come out of this show,”.
Fans all over the world are hooked on the singer with her charming husky voice partnered by the rustic and sweet sound of her ukulele.
According to USA Today, the singer said she always wanted to be an American Idol but she could not join because the minimum age for contestants is 15. She also admitted that before joining America’s Got Talent 2016, she was not a fan of the show. Ooops…But nonetheless, she still watched the episodes.
Not only can the singer wow judges and fans alike with her singing voice, but she can also write songs. She wrote her sister, whom she calls her “other half”, a song called Beautiful Thing which gained popularity quickly after she performed in on the AGT stage.
All the buzz about Grace VanderWaal leaves a lot of viewers thinking that she could be the youngest America’s Got Talent winner.

America’s Got Talent Season 11, however, has tough contenders, all impressing the judges and each with their own fan base.

Philadelphia Eagles’ long snapper turned magician, Jon Dorrenbos, is one to look out for with clever football magic tricks that impressed judges.
The Clairvoyants, consisting of Austrians Thommy Ten and Amélie van Tass, also continue to astonish and capture the audience with mind-reading acts.
Other competitors include a contortionist, a singing group of four, another singer with an old-school Italian vibe, a young Opera singer, a juggler and the not-so-traditional mime called Tape Face.
Whatever the turn-out of this year’s show, audience are hooked and awaiting the finals more than ever.
