After a short delay of a few hours, Superhot is finally available on Steam.
The game made waves originally when the prototype popped back in 2013. Here we are, a few years, a successful kickstarter, and a finished product later, and SUPERHOT is finally out on Steam. Be sure to also check out our review of the game.
For the uninitiated, Superhot is built around one simple concept. Time only moves when you move, and it seems that the hype built by the prototype was not lost on the full game, because Superhot is getting pretty solid reviews across the board. Polygon gave it a 9. Gamespot gave it an 8. IGN gave it a 7.5. PC Gamer gave it an 84.
It’s hard to resist something with this much panache. The price point might be a drawback to some people. $25 for a 2 hour story seems a bit steep, but considering the amount of extra content that unlocks after you finish the game, the price isn’t completely egregious. Especially if you wait for a sale, or take advantage of Green Man Gaming’s many vouchers.
Those guys love their vouchers.
